On the 19th and 20th of November 2019 Društvo DISORA took part in the training for youth workers and mentors who work with migrants and other vulnerable target groups. The training was organised by Institute for the development of youth mobility at the conclusion of the Becoming part of Europe project. The training addressed the practical and theoretical aspects of challenges faced by all who work with migrants and other vulnerable target groups. We exchanged our experience and learned many practical ways to tackle the challenges that this line of work presents. It was also a great opportunity to connect with similar organisations at home and abroad which lead also to the creation of many new interesting project ideas.
As a member of DISORA I participated in a 2,5 day Erasmus+ training seminar in Dublin, Ireland, prepared by Ireland National Agency. Overall aim of the training was to support organizations in developing an Inclusion and Diversity (I&D) strategy in line with Erasmus+ priorities. There were 40 participants representing NGOs and educational institutions from 14 different European countries. During the seminar we got familiar with the work organizations are currently undertaking around I&D, we were provided with tools and frameworks to develop our I&D strategy and we gained deep understanding of the value of the strategy for an organization. During the seminar we used our free time well and visited the city center, typical Irish pub and some historical sights. Energy and passion of the organizers and participants was really amazing and my overall experience very positive.
